Today we examine the infamous 1985 PMRC Senate hearings and the enormous impact they had on politics, culture and the music industry. We discuss the history behind the hearings, who among the “Filthy 15” is in the Rock Hall and which PMRC targeted bands deserve consideration. We end with our personal experiences of what it was like to be music-loving children living in the PMRC era.
